Sarah Clasby Engel is a partner with Harke & Clasby LLP whose practice includes insurance litigation, employment matters, professional malpractice, products liability, consumer class action litigation, and general commercial litigation.

Ms. Engel earned her undergraduate degree in English from Boston College (B.A., magna cum laude, 1990) and her law degree from the University of Miami (J.D., magna cum laude, 1993). While at the University of Miami, Ms. Engel served as Editor-in-Chief of The University of Miami Inter-American Law Review and authored an article appearing in the journal entitled An Understanding Testimony: Official Translation and Bilingual Jurors in Hernandez v. New York. Ms. Engel was also a member of the Moot Court Board and won the optional moot court competition in her first year. She is a member of Order of the Coif.

Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Engel served as a law clerk to the Honorable Barry L. Garber, United States Magistrate Judge in the Southern District of Florida and was a litigation associate at the law firms of Keith Mack Lewis Cohen & Lumpkin, Steel Hector & Davis LLP and Hector & Harke LLP.

Ms. Engel has been certified and served as an expert witness on attorney's fees matters in over 100 cases. Ms. Engel is a member of the Florida Bar and the Dade County Bar Association. She is admitted to practice in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit and the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Middle Districts of Florida. Her community activities include the Junior League of Miami, Inc. and the March of Dimes.

Ms. Engel was named one of South Florida's Up and Coming Attorneys by the 2004 through 2008 South Florida Legal Guide, and has received an AV rating from Martindale Hubbell.  She has also been named one of the State's Legal Leaders by South Florida Trend's Florida Legal Elite 2004 through 2007 and was named one of Florida's Super Lawyers by Florida Super Lawyers Magazine in 2008.

Ms. Engel is a Certified County and Circuit Civil Mediator.
