MIAMI - Harke Clasby & Bushman LLP (www.harkeclasby.com) is pleased to announce the addition of new associate Barbara L. Cabrera to its AV-Preeminent rated commercial litigation boutique. Ms. Cabrera will be joining HCB as an associate attorney and will concentrate her practice in the areas of complex commercial litigation, general civil litigation, and class actions.

Prior to joining Harke Clasby & Bushman LLP, Ms. Cabrera worked at Lee, Hernandez, Landrum & Garofalo, APC in Miami as a law clerk. During the summer of 2013, she served as a legal intern at The United States Department of Homeland Security in Miami, FL.
Ms. Cabrera received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Government from The University of Virginia in Charlottesville, VA. She was on the Dean's List and the recipient of the James B. Latimer Award. While earning her degree, Ms. Cabrera volunteered at the Madison House Adult Learning Center and was the Pre-Law Chair of the Virginia Themis Society. In addition to her B.A. degree, she graduated magna cum laude from Miami Dade Honors College with an Associate in Arts degree in Political Science. Ms. Cabrera was on the Dean's List, a member of Phi Theta Kappa and President of the Student Government Association. She was also the recipient of the Board of Trustees Scholarship Award, President's Volunteer Service Award, Miami-Dade County League of Cities Award and the Francisco Foundation Award.
Ms. Cabrera received her law degree from The University of Miami School of Law in May 2015, where she graduated cum laude and was on the Dean's List. She earned the Dean's Certificate of Achievement and the CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Legal Communication and Research I. In addition to Ms. Cabrera's scholastic achievements in law school, she served as a Miami Law Ambassador, and participated in the Hispanic Law Students Association, Investor Rights Clinic, Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) and Tax Counseling for the Elderly (TCE), Professional Responsibility and Ethics Program (PREP), and the International Moot Court Program, Moot Madrid. Ms. Cabrera is fluent in Spanish.
