MIAMI - Partner Sarah Clasby Engel, with the Miami-based commercial litigation law firm of Harke & Clasby LLP, (http://www.harkeclasby.com/) is now certified by the Florida Supreme Court as a mediator for circuit and county court civil matters.
Engel resides in Miami and has a wealth of litigation experience. She graduated magna cum laude from Boston College with an undergraduate degree in English. She received her law degree from University of Miami School of Law, where she graduated magna cum laude.
Engel has been certified and served as an expert witness on attorney's fees matters in over 100 cases. She was named one of South Florida's Up and Coming Attorneys by the 2004-2008 South Florida Legal Guide, and has received an AV rating from Martindale Hubbell. In addition, she has been named one of the State's Legal Leaders by South Florida Trend's Florida Legal Elite 2004-2007.
To compliment her individual achievements, Engel takes great pride in participating in various community activities. She has been a member of the Junior League of Miami for 10 years and actively represents clients on a pro bono basis through the Dade County Bar Association's Put Something Back project.
Engel concentrates her practice in insurance litigation, employment matters, products liability matters, consumer class action litigation, and general commercial litigation. She has unique insight as a mediator because she has extensive experience as both plaintiff and defense counsel, and has worked in both large and small-firm settings.
